Each news article is displayed as a marker on the map, with an icon for each category. En info window appears when you roll over the marker, and when you click, your browser opens the full article from the original source.

Use the category index to restrict the display to a specific category. For instance when you click on «Politics» only political events will be displayed. You will then stay in that category even as you zoom and navigate on the map.

Every month, geoviu generates a «Monthly Report» that displays the main news events on an entire month. This allows you to easily browse through an entire month of worldwide news events.

When you roll over a marker, you will see an «info window» that displays the title, description, source, date and location of the news article.

Search through our database of news articles by using keywords, such as «Obama» or «discovery». Map markers will automatically change as you type. Also note that this performes a search on our entire database of weekly events.

Search a specific location on the map. You can zoom in on countries, cities or other famous locations such as the White House. When you use the location search, you stay on the map type you are currently using.
